Meet The Owners!
The Quilt Foundry is owned by four women who met through classes and work in the shop. In 1987 they had a chance to combine their talents and purchase the shop. Each has been quilting for more than 20 years.

Mary is the coordinator for a major quilt auction in Northwest Ohio, the annual Sunshine Foundation Quilt auction in October. She loves to teach how to make Santas and other character dolls in all-day workshops. A quilt designer and quilt judge, Mary is also very knowledgeable about cleaning, repair and rstoration techniques.
Gretchen gives "show & tell" talks on antique quilts, memory quilts and kit quilts tolocal guilds and other groups. She incorporate guilts from her extensive antique quilt top collection for illustration in the talks and in classes that she teaches. Her classes in photo-transfer techniques, silk ribbon embroidery, and machine quilting are popular offerings. Gretchen judges shows and is working on her NQA judging certification.
Peg loves playing with new gadgets to make quilt-making easier and will gladly demonstrate their use. She makes leaning about cathedral window quilts, yo-yo's and quick-pieced traditional designs a lot of fun. A nurse and a good listener, Peg loves to trade good stories. Her favorite pattern is the Lone Star.
Margaret took up quilting about 20 years ago to use up the fabrics she had accumulated from other sewing projects. That dream has led to a business to teaching others about pleasures of making quilts. She likes mastering new techniques - from rotary cutting projects, to hand applique, to color studies. Margaret has lots of unfinished projects to add to that long-ago stash of leftover fabrics. She also works part-time for "The Electric Quilt."
