This is a beginner friendly class designed to introduce you to the basics of quilting. Students will focus on acurate cutting, strip piecing, sewing borders, and learning to read patterns. Students must be comfortable with threading and operating their sewing machine.
Complete Supply List can be picked up at the shop prior to class
Supplies: sewing machine (you must know how to thread and operate your machine) & basic sewing supplies, rotary cutter, cutting mat, pins. Fabric and supplies should be purchased from the shop prior to class.

Holly Jolly Sew Along

This is a beginner friendly class designed to introduce you to the basics of working with panels, borders adn fussy cutting. Students will learn tips and tricks to help with trimming and squaring up panels as well as adding borders to make sure your quilts stay square.
All students will be making the same panel quilt. Kits can be purchased at the shop prior to class.

Pillowcases make great gifts for the holidays or any special occasion! If you are intreseted in learning how to sew, but are not sure where to begine - this is the perfect class! Our pillowcase class is an informative and fun introduction into the world of sewing and quilting. It also a great opportunity to brush up on your pilllowcase skills for those who have been sewing awhile!
Students will learn the basics of rotary cutting, measuring and seam allowances.

Built in the 1840s, the historic Buttergilt Building is home to the Quilt Foundry. Today, the structure retains much of its original appearance and materials, and since the early 1980s has welcomed a variety of tenants, including the Quilt Foundry. It is believed to be the area’s oldest factory structure still in commercial use.
