Quilting 101 Fall
Are you interested in learning how to make a quilt? Maybe you want to brush up on the basics? Join this class taught by Sue and you will learn all the basics while making your very own 9 block sampler quilt. Stop by the shop and we will have fabric bundles to choose from! Finsihed quilts will include sashing, borders and cornerstones.
Supplies: sewing machine (you must know how to thread and operate your machine) & basic sewing supplies, fabric and pattern will be purchased separately. Fabric and supply list can be picked up prior ti class, beginning Sept 10.

Tired of the same old, same old? Want to push beyond your comfort zone and learn how to make more challenging blocks? Join this class taught by Sue and you will go beyond the basics to make a sampler quilt that introduces woven stars, half stars and chain blocks. Students will also focus on reading patterns, cutting instructions and selecting fabrics.
Supplies: sewing machine (you must know how to thread and operate your machine) & basic sewing supplies, fabric and pattern will be purchased separately. Pattern, fabric and supply list can be picked up prior to class beginning Sept 10.

Fabric + pattern extra
Join Sue and Lisa to learn all the basics of foundation paper piecing! We will start with a very basic pattern and instructions to create a beautiful table runner. Think "seasonal"! Once you learn the basics the options are endless!
Supplies: sewing machine, thread, pins or clips, snips, basic sewing supplies. 6 coordinating fat quarters or (3) 1/2 yard cuts - to start with. Keep in mind you will be able to make this as large or small as you'd like.

Join Glenda to see how fun it is to use the Quick Curve Ruler!  She will walk you through all the steps to learn this simple technique to create beautiful curved blocks!  Class time will allow for instruction and practice in using the ruler and for completing a large portion (not all) of your wall hanging.  PLEASE MAKE SURE TO HAVE FABRIC CUT AND LABELED PRIOR TO CLASS - this will allow (not guarantee) for more time to make significant progress on your wall hanging and not have homework! :)
Supplies: class kit, sewing machine, thread, pins or clips, snips, basic sewing supplies, mini iron and pressing mat (not required, but helpful)

Built in the 1840s, the historic Buttergilt Building is home to the Quilt Foundry. Today, the structure retains much of its original appearance and materials, and since the early 1980s has welcomed a variety of tenants, including the Quilt Foundry. It is believed to be the area’s oldest factory structure still in commercial use.
