Quilting 101 Fall
Are you interested in learning how to make a quilt? Maybe you want to brush up on the basics? Join this class taught by Sue and you will learn all the basics while making your very own 9 block sampler quilt. Stop by the shop and we will have fabric bundles to choose from! Finsihed quilts will include sashing, borders and cornerstones.
Supplies: sewing machine (you must know how to thread and operate your machine) & basic sewing supplies, fabric and pattern will be purchased separately. Fabric and supply list can be picked up prior ti class, beginning Sept 10.

Quilting 201 Fall
Tired of the same old, same old? Want to push beyond your comfort zone and learn how to make more challenging blocks? Join this class taught by Sue and you will go beyond the basics to make a sampler quilt that introduces woven stars, half stars and chain blocks. Students will also focus on reading patterns, cutting instructions and selecting fabrics.
Supplies: sewing machine (you must know how to thread and operate your machine) & basic sewing supplies, fabric and pattern will be purchased separately. Pattern, fabric and supply list can be picked up prior to class beginning Sept 10.

Join Sue and Lisa to learn all the basics of foundation paper piecing! We will start with a very basic pattern and instructions to create a beautiful table runner. Think "seasonal"! Once you learn the basics the options are endless! (sample photo coming soon!)
Supplies: sewing machine, thread, pins or clips, snips, basic sewing supplies. Fabric requirements, detailed supply list and pattern will be available beginning Oct 1.

Built in the 1840s, the historic Buttergilt Building is home to the Quilt Foundry. Today, the structure retains much of its original appearance and materials, and since the early 1980s has welcomed a variety of tenants, including the Quilt Foundry. It is believed to be the area’s oldest factory structure still in commercial use.
